Since our founding more than 50 years ago, Warabeya Nichiyo Group has maintained and grown under the slogan of Prioritizing Thorough Hygiene Management Above All Else.


Employees working at our plants start each day by checking their body temperature and other health and hygiene conditions, and only begin their work after washing and disinfecting their hands, entering an air shower, and going through several other procedures. The plant floors for processing ingredients before and after heating are painted with different colors in an approach to zoning that makes the two areas visually recognizable. And we are managing employees leads between the zones. We also engage in food defense initiatives using surveillance cameras.
Similarly, we ensure traceability for ingredients from procurement to processing and delivery. In addition, all of our plants have acquired certification under the JFS-B food safety management system standard, which we thoroughly employ to protect safety and high quality.

Delivering new appeal of “eating” through technology
and development capabilities.

Many of our staff involved in product development are certified dietitians, nutritionists, and cooks. When developing new product menus, we continuously take on challenges while incorporating local ingredients in aims of recreating the taste of home-made food and authentic flavors from high-class Japanese-style restaurants and exclusive restaurants based on our knowledge and experience as professionals.

Our product development process begins by identifying product concepts following analysis and market research that pursues existing customer needs. Next, we determine the menu content and finalize new products through repeated experimentation and tastings. In addition, we procure ingredients, ensure traceability, analyze compositions, test for bacteria, and select packaging to enhance product appeal and safety.

Improving production efficiency is essential to ensuring a stable supply of the great flavor demanded of us as a leading company in ready-to-eat meals. We therefore proactively install the latest machines at our plants to reduce workloads and improve safety. Our plant layouts also eliminate waste and enhance work efficiency by ensuring the entire series of work steps from ingredient receiving to preparation, cooking, and shipping all fall along a straight line. On the other hand, as part of the garnishing process, many of our staff put their heart and soul into plating each meal with a particular commitment to beauty.


In addition, we support the mass production of flavors that never change by thoroughly analyzing and processing data for each aspect, from the ingredients themselves to the combinations of ingredients and cooking methods.
